Jadon Sancho forced a Burnley own goal in the 3-1 win for Manchester United but Thierry Henry wants much more from the England winger. He criticised the £73million summer signing , who is yet to really impress at the Old Trafford club. Henry's frustration at the talented former Borussia Dortmund man stems from the fact that he regularly cuts inside. In the studio as an analyst for Amazon Prime, he said: 'Those are the types of players you want to watch but he is playing within himself. 'When you are in a one-on-one, you should take a player on. But it was Luke Shaw who was forcing him to take on those one-on-ones. 'What happened to beating your man on the outside? They often want to go too much inside. Just beat your man on the outside and be lethal.' After Scott McTominay had put United ahead on Thursday night, Sancho came up with his decisive contribution of the game. He danced ...

Scott McTominay put in a man of the match performance today as Manchester United cruised past Burnley 3-1 in the Premier League at Old Trafford. The Scotsman scored United’s first goal with a well-placed pass into the net and saw another spectacular effort tipped onto the woodwork by the keeper – leading to a Ronaldo tap-in for another goal – and a third saved by Hennessy with his fingertips. The successful strike was “McSauce”’s first league goal since February – a run of 28 games – and well worth waiting for. Jadon Sancho got plenty of sympathy from Manchester United fans after seemingly scoring his first goal at Old Trafford – only to have it cruelly taken away from him. Recalled to the side after having to settle for a place on the bench at Newcastle, the former Borussia Dortmund forward put United firmly in control as they doubled their lead against Burnley. Having gone in front thanks to Scott McTominay’s opener, Sancho then put the hosts firmly in the ascendency as he cut inside from the left before directing his effort goalwards. The ball nestled in at the far post, via a slight deflection from Ben Mee, leaving Sancho to celebrate his first goal at Old Trafford since signing in the summer – or so he thought After some deliberation, it was confirmed by the Premier League that the goal had in fact been awarded as a Mee own goal, cruelly denying Sancho of his memorable moment in front of the Streford...

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start for Manchester United against Burnley tonight (December 30). The Red Devils will take on Sean Dyche's side in a Premier League encounter at Old Trafford. Manchester United will be keen to return to winning ways, having drawn their last game. Ralf Rangnick's side needed a second-half equalizer from substitute Edinson Cavani to rescue a point against 19th-place Newcastle United. Cristiano Ronaldo himself had an extremely quiet outing against the Magpies. The Red Devils marksman failed to impose himself on the game and was largely ineffective. Ronaldo, along with Bruno Fernandes, also received plenty of criticism for storming down the tunnel straight after the game without applauding the traveling fans. Heading into this game, Manchester United find themselves in seventh place in the Premier League. The club are seven points o...
