Many United supporters hoped that the rekindling

Portuguese national would only add to the 

quality of his recent performances. 


However, while Ronaldo has dominated 

the headlines and scored the most of the goals

, Gudjohnsen believes his international teammate

 has had a tough season as a result of his in-

game approach. 


"It's as though Fernandes was always waiting

 for Cristiano Ronaldo," he told Icelandic 

station MBL (via the Daily Express). 


"Nine times out of ten, he attempts to locate

 Ronaldo, and if that fails, he becomes frustrated

 and begins to try extremely difficult things."
