Revealed: Ralf Ragnick reveals How Manchester United could line-up against Norwich this weekend
Ralf Rangnick will take charge of his
first Manchester United away game this
weekend, when his side travel to take
on Norwich at Carrow Road.
Having beaten Crystal Palace last time
out in the Premier League, and delivered
a high-octane, front-footed performance, the
early signs are promising.
Interim boss Rangnick was also able to rotate
his team in midweek for the Champions
League draw with Young Boys, so looks
set to select a strong team.
Here, Sportsmail attempts to predict who
will make the starting XI, in the tactician's
favoured 4-2-2-2 formation...
GOALKEEPER - DAVID DE GEA
There is no doubting who is first-choice
between the sticks under United's new manager
. David de Gea's spot is safe, and he looks
back to his very best.
Dean Henderson deputised admirably on
Wednesday, but it is De Gea who has the
momentum once again. He is certain to start
against Norwich.
Despite the hosts' lowly position, he will need
to be alert to help prevent United from
slipping up and gifting away crucial points
ahead of a busy run of games.

RIGHT BACK - DIOGO DALOT
Aaron Wan-Bissaka's shaky display against
Young Boys simply underlined why Diogo
Dalot looks to be settled in that right back
slot currently.
Hesitant on the ball, sloppy with his
marking and not adventurous enough,
Wan-Bissaka was anything that Dalot has
not been in recent weeks.
Dalot's deliveries from out wide hand United
another dimension to their attack, and it
is this danger going forward which may
make him a favourite of Rangnick's.
CENTRE BACK - VICTOR LINDELOF
He may be questionable in the air, but there
is no doubting that Victor Lindelof has
filled in superbly during Raphael Varane's
injury lay-off.
Capable of floating balls in behind defences
for the likes of Marcus Rashford and Cristiano
Ronaldo to chase after, Lindelof also contributes
to United's attacks.
Norwich's forwards are certain to prove
a handful for him, but provided Lindelof can
keep up his current standards, he will continue
his superb form at the back.

CENTRE BACK - HARRY MAGUIRE
Having been criticised on all fronts during
the first part of this season, Harry Maguire
will be targeting a turnaround and a fresh
start under Rangnick.
So far, he has enjoyed just that. Against
Palace, he looked back to his usual self.
He marshalled his players well, timed his
tackles brilliantly and won every header.
Promisingly, he had been displaying these
shoots of recovery during Michael Carrick's
brief time in charge - but the burden is on him
to now kick on further.
LEFT BACK - ALEX TELLES
This is perhaps Rangnick's first big selection
dilemma for this game.
Wan-Bissaka is currently injured, leaving
the door open for Dalot on the other side, but
Luke Shaw was fielded down the left last
time out and picked up an assist.
However, he still looks far from back to
his best, and Alex Telles delivered a superb
showing in Rangnick's first game. It would
make sense, therefore, for him to stay put.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - FRED
Who saw that goal against Palace coming?
Be honest.
It was a truly marvellous finish, one dispatched
with real aplomb, and in doing so, Fred laid
down a statement for Rangnick - play him,
or regret it.
He remains an enigma for United supporters,
but on his day he is superb. Handily, he is better
when pressing opponents, and the new man
in charge will use him often.
CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - SCOTT
MCTOMINAY
If there is one thing Rangnick hates from
his midfielders, it is a square pass.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Scott
McTominay - and most of his team-mates,
in fairness - were guilty of two many of these.
Gradually, that will begin to change.
McTominay has the ability to rise to these
new standards but, unfortunately for him,
looks like the far weaker of the two in the
pivot. He may be fortunate to start this one.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - JADON
SANCHO
It has not been the fairytale start to life
at United that he would have wanted, but Jadon
Sancho is now beginning to show glimpses
that his old self is back.
He scored against Villarreal and Chelsea
, and played 62 minutes for United in
a slightly different role, with Rangnick
demanding plenty from his widemen.
His versatility will be crucial over the rest
of the season, and Sancho's ability to use his
quick feet to create magic will also seen him
heavily leaned on by his coach.
ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - BRUNO
FERNANDES
Understandably, there were no smiles from
Bruno Fernandes in the days after Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer's sacking. He was, after all, the
man who brought him to United.
But more recently, that cheeky grin is back,
and so is the confidence in his game. He has
taken brilliantly to Rangnick's pressing style,
harrying down players everywhere.
United will hope that their playmaker's rough
patch is now over, and there is no better
place to prove that than at Carrow Road,
against a side fighting for their lives.
STRIKER - MARCUS RASHFORD
Regardless of his recent indecisiveness
when on the ball and at speed, Marcus
Rashford remains one of the most lethal
forwards at United's disposal.
He is another player crucial to Rangnick's
blueprint of pressuring opponents, winning
the ball back and then countering at speed
to score.
Norwich will likely sit deeper this weekend
, meaning Rashford will need to be clever
off the ball with his runs. The new manager
will be watching him closely.

STRIKER - CRISTIANO RONALDO
Dwight Yorke is desperate for United to
play Cristiano Ronaldo as much as possible
, and Rangnick will surely heed his words.
Ronaldo has six goals in 12 Premier League
appearances this season and, despite not being
able to sprint around as much as he could,
does work hard up front.
Provided he closes down defenders and
does the basics, Rangnick will be very happy
for his main man to conserve energy and
use it to add to his season's tally.
